Overall Goals & Approach
This project was for my Intro to Web Design class. It is based on creating a functioning merchant/e-commerce website built with HTML and styled with CSS through Visual Studio Code. I had to model my website from an existing business. The site had to consist of a homepage and 1 subpage. My homepage would serve as an introduction to the brand and all content would be gathered from the merchant’s website or sources through royalty-free photography and video. The second page would be a Contact page.
My goal for this assignment was to recreate the R.E.M. Beauty website. I wanted the aesthetics to be minimalist. I wanted the UX/UI to be seamless with transitions and hover states. I started off by creating a wireframe and then moved over to VScode to form & design the site.
